Our masters have great lineage in Shaolin Quan, Sanda (Sanshou), Meihua Quan, Wing Chun Quan, Taiji Quan, Qigong, Ba Gua Zhang and Xing Yi Quan.
The masters have also won many Kung Fu competitions and given many demonstrations in China and abroad. Several masters are the Shaolin Temple overseas performance team members, International Meihua Quan Federation and International Shaolin Wushu Federation.
Located within Wulian Mountain National Park, students live and train in a Zen (Chinese term is Chan) and fresh environment. As every student matters, the masters dedicate their skills to nurturing every student’s unique potential. Because of this personal teaching approach, many international students return to our school to learn more.
The school caters to students of all martial levels and body abilities. The training timetable includes classes in self-defence, healing arts, mental training and conditioning, Kung Fu styles and many more. International and Chinese students are welcome to train with us for any length they desire.

What is Kung Fu?
Kung Fu (功夫) is a form of exercise, self-defence and an exchange of culture. It is also known as Gōng Fù (功夫), Wŭ Shù (武术) or Guó Shù (國術). Kung Fu uses hand and foot techniques, yet Kung Fu is one of, if not the oldest, Martial arts.
In Western culture, the expression “Kung Fu” has been popularized to the point where it has become the common name for the Chinese martial arts systems. Idiomatically, Kung Fu means “energy and time”. The words “Wŭ Shù” (武术) mean Martial Art. The name “Wu Shu” has been and is still used for a more modern, performance-oriented movement system, which the Chinese government often sponsors.
There are many systems of Kung Fu, the most popular of which have their origins in the Shaolin Temple. However, Kung Fu existed in China long before the first Temple was built.
Kung Fu is a lifestyle which came from Chinese culture and history. Kung Fu helps you have a healthy body and mind, become cleverer, and deal with life issues. Kung Fu masters generally live healthily to a ripe old age. A practitioner in other forms of physical activities often loses his vitality and strength as he ages. Still, a Kung Fu practitioner is usually healthy and robust when he grows old. The reason is that whereas most other physical activities develop the external body only, Kung Fu development is both external and internal. With the training of the three inner faculties of a man — jing, shen and Qi, or essence, mind-power and intrinsic energy — Kung Fu not only makes a person strong, agile and healthy but also trains his internal systems to prolong his life.
What is the purpose of Kung Fu?
Many consider self-defence to be the ultimate goal of Kung Fu or any Martial Art. Yet, studying Kung Fu is much more than the mere art of fighting. It is truly an art that seeks to develop the body, mind, character, and soul.
Kung Fu does NOT teach that we should seek to overcome other people. Instead, it is a discipline that leads us to look into ourselves and learn to control our thoughts, emotions and bodies. We should always be peaceful and avoid combat. However, if faced with a situation that threatens severe bodily harm or injury, the soul should become the warrior, and we must be capable of defending ourselves.
Like many martial studies, Kung Fu teaches balance which is the key to movement and the execution of technique. “Balance” is considered as keeping equilibrium between Heaven and Earth. We can only achieve this concept if we learn to focus our thoughts, concentrate and empty our minds of distraction.
What is Kung Fu for?
Kung Fu is for any willing student. One must have or be ready to develop the physical, psychological and ethical characteristics to allow for growth in the art. All necessary is the enthusiasm and desire to work diligently and accept discipline. Only some students will advance at the same rate. Each of us has a different background and physical and intellectual capabilities. However, each student should try to the best of their ability and, through that effort, will progress and continue to learn.
