October Grading Shaolin Temple Yunnan, October 29th, 2018
October grading took place in Shaolin Temple Yunnan. Every month students perform the forms and skills they learned during the month. The grades are from 6.00 up to 10.00. The grading panel is formed from the Masters teaching in the Temple. The head judge, Shifu Shi Yanjun, is also the Head Coach of the Kung Fu Department.
This month, for the first time, we had two students graded with 8.7. Telo from Denmark, trains in the Temple for 10 months. He achieved this grade for two forms: Meihua Quan Wushi and Chen Taiji 8 Steps. The other student is Holly from Canada. She trains in the Temple for 6 months and she has 14 years of Karate training and teaching experience. She achieved 8.7 grade for Shaolin Lian Huan Quan. Manon from France, achieve an excellent grade of 8.6 for Shaolin Xiao Hong Quan. Tony (Holland), Greg and Rebekah (USA) achieved the grade of 8.5.
All the students which graded demonstrated excellent improvement for the time they trained in the Temple. This demonstrates their dedication and discipline to follow their Kung Fu Dream.
Our training timetable has 7 hours of training per day and follows the principle of yin-yang. No matter the styles chosen, all students will study also Meditation, Taiji and Qigong. Every evening we offer in the timetable Medical Qigong because we believe students can achieve great results when their body and mind is healthy.
We would also like to specially congratulate our more mature students for their hard work and diligence. It takes a special character to be able at a more mature age to train 7h hours per day and in the same time to give your best. Dee (54), Lee (40) and Alexia (43) demonstrate the perseverance and tenacity of young students! We are very proud of them!
At the end of the grading students received individual feedback on what went well and what they need to work to improve more. We wish all our students to have a new month of great success!
All the hard work is yours! Amituofo!
