The 1st International Kung Fu Tournament, Seminars and Chinese Medicine Expo, Florida, USA
The International Meihua Quan Federation is hosting the 1st International Kung Fu Tournament, Awards Show, Meihua Quan Seminar and Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Fair.
Lost Legacy Systems USA and Integrative Medicine US are working together with International Meihua Quan Federation to organize the event. Shifu Phoenix Le Grand is the Ambassador and Shifu Jonathan M. Fields, Executive Director for the International Meihua Quan Federation.
At the event will participate Shifu Du Weijun, the Executive President of International Meihua Quan Federation, Vice President of China National Intangible Cultural Heritage Plum Blossom Boxing Inheritance Association, Executive Director of China Mei Boxing Association under Chinese Cultural Administration Association (CCAA) and Head coach of Kung Fu International Team of Shaolin Temple Kunming, Yunnan. Dr. Andreea McCurry which represents UK from the International Meihua Quan Federation as Vice-President will also be present.
Shifu Du Weijun is the 17th Generation Disciple of Meihua Quan of the Grandmaster Han Baiguang, 16th Generation Successor of Lineage and representative of the Ancestors of Meihua Quan.
THE INTERNATIONAL MEIHUA QUAN FEDERATION HAS THE MISSION OF PRESERVATION AND CULTIVATION OF TRADITIONAL MEIHUA QUAN KUNG FU AND CULTURE.
Meihua Quan, also known as Mui Fa Kuen, Plum Flower Boxing and Plum Blossom Fist, is one of the oldest styles of Gong Fu. It is considered to be the mother of Chinese Martial Arts incorporating cultural elements such as Qigong, Chinese Traditional Medicine, Calligraphy and Feng shui.
KUNG FU TOURNAMENT
THE EVENT WILL ALSO FEATURE A KUNG FU TOURNAMENT WITH DIVISIONS FOR KIDS AND ADULTS IN TRADITIONAL CHINESE FORMS WITH AND WITHOUT WEAPONS AND SANDA KICKBOXING.
In the tournament will have forms competition (empty hands and weapons), Taiji and Taiji Push Hands and Sanda (Kickboxing).
In the Forms Competition you can register with up to 5 forms from the following styles: Taiji Quan, Meihua Quan, Shaolin Kung Fu, Wing Chun, Modern Wushu, Choy Ley Foot, and many more styles.
In Sanda Competition, you should bring your own gear and equipment including: gloves, foot gear, shin pads, groin protector, head protector and mouthpiece.
The Taiji Competition is hosted by Shifu Lester Holmes of Taiji Connection FB Group and Taiji Wellness Society.
At the Fair will be offered classes and lectures on Chinese Traditional Medicine and how it relates to the 5 Elements Theory, Yin-Yang and Food Therapy. We will offer free tongue and pulse diagnosis as well as to try Cupping, Tuina Deep Tissue Massage and Acupuncture. Qigong and Taiji Quan Classes and Seminars will also take place throughout the event. South Florida Acupuncture Treatments will be offered as well.
Well known masters and special guests will be presented awards for their service teaching traditional Chinese Arts to the community.
A component of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the event will be presented by Songshan Shaolin Traditional Wushu Academy coach, Jonathan M. Fields of Integrative Medicine US. There will be tongue and pulse diagnosis and options for people to try Acupuncture, Tuina Massage and Cupping.

After the weekend, there will also be a separate Spiritual Retreat event focused on Wellness and Longevity. The retreat will be in a more intimate setting and include one-on-one time with instructors and incorporate Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Meditation and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments like: Acupuncture, Moxa, Cupping, Herbs, Food Therapy and Tuina Massage.
